Im 44 years old and feel like I look decent for my age. My neck, however looks terrible. Its all I see when I look in the mirror and I find myself holding my head in uncomfortable positions to try to mask it. I plan to get a facelift in 5-6 years, but my neck cant wait that long. What is the approximate cost and minimum expected down time? I had a chin implant and neck lipo about 10 years ago and there is no excess fat under my chin. Its all just saggy skin.
Hello! Im 35 years old and thin/fit. I had an extended deep plane neck lift and platysmaplasty (NO lipo) last year to address genetic sagging. My incisions start at the top of my tragus and continue around the ear to the top of the back of my ear. They do NOT extend along the hairline behind my ear. I also have an incision under my chin. My original goal was to remove loose skin under my chin and improve the shape of my neck- which was sloped/ obtuse / c-shaped - to a more of a 90 degree right angle. I am now more than 6 months post-op and extra skin is still present and the shape didnt improve. He said my hyoid bone had an average position - not low, not high. I was offered a revision to remove more skin using the incision in back of ear only. Im looking for advice on what at has to happen during the revision to get a more defined, 90 degree angle neck? I trust my doctor but want to be well-informed.
Hello.. I have a little laxity in my neck and Im looking bottom heavy in the face. I have puffy jowls around my mouth and Im wondering if I can treat them through a neck lift? Or do I need to do a deep plane? Im 43 so Id like to hold off on that if I can. I dont want to do laser as it will complicate a future lift. Filler will just bulk my face. I thought the surgical route might be best. Im open to suggestions.
I am 38 years old.. Im pretty happy with most of my body composition except for my neck. I went in for a consult for neck lipo and after talking he suggest a deep neck lift and buccal fat removal to receive the results I was hoping for. Just getting a second option since my Dr. who I really enjoyed just finished his residency at Harvard. Hes got a great attitude and great bedside manner just wanted some options of some Doctors that have been around for a min.
Hello Doctors, I am a 39 y/o female. I lost about 30 pounds over the course of a year. Most of my skin is perfectly in tact but I have some sagging neck skin. I'm not sure if it from aging or weight loss. Social media promotes mini lifts and I'm wondering if the is something that I should consider. Thanks!
Age 44, Male, BMI 31. I would like to improve my neck's side profile via a necklift. My anatomy is not ideal (ie. recession, jaw structure and low hyoid). Would I benefit from platysmaplasty with liposuction? Note: I am unable to get jaw surgery is not an option due to root resorption from orthodontics.
Dear Experts, Im a 37-y.o. female from Europe. I lost a huge amount (~50 kg) of weight a few years ago and sadly my facial skin didnt retreat back to where it should be. It somehow looks unevenly proportioned as well. So I have decided to get a genioplasty(because my chin has been bugging me for years) but I am not sure what would be most effective for the neck/jaw/ Maybe you could give some advice whether a liposuction of the areas or a neck lift would deliver better results?
