I had a deep plane neck and facelift 6 mos. ago. I am 51 and had significant neck laxity due to weight loss. The turkey neck was removed, but Ive been left with hollowing and sagging on each side. I posted previously, but some of my pictures were omitted. Im reposting with additional photos of the issue. My surgeon wants to do Forma and CoolPeel which Im reluctant to do. I was told by another surgeon that revision surgery would be too risky because I had deep plane. How can this be fixed?
Hello! Im 35 years old and thin/fit. I had an extended deep plane neck lift and platysmaplasty (NO lipo) last year to address genetic sagging. My incisions start at the top of my tragus and continue around the ear to the top of the back of my ear. They do NOT extend along the hairline behind my ear. I also have an incision under my chin. My original goal was to remove loose skin under my chin and improve the shape of my neck- which was sloped/ obtuse / c-shaped - to a more of a 90 degree right angle. I am now more than 6 months post-op and extra skin is still present and the shape didnt improve. He said my hyoid bone had an average position - not low, not high. I was offered a revision to remove more skin using the incision in back of ear only. Im looking for advice on what at has to happen during the revision to get a more defined, 90 degree angle neck? I trust my doctor but want to be well-informed.
I am now at the 6 month mark after a face and neck lift. One of my issues is that when I turn my head I have way more skin folds than I had before, I looks odd, one side is worse than the other. I have raised this with my surgeon and he has suggested to remove more skin behind the ear however cant gantentee this will work and I will lose a 1cm of hairline as he will put the scar in the hairline. Im worried that after all this is wont fix it.
I just got a neck lift with a Submentoplasty. It's been 6 months since he procedure... but my skin looks loose and warped when I tilt my head down. Did I get botched? Or am I still healing? Or is it because I reduced to get a chin implant?
Hi I had a neck/mid face lift in March 2023. I am on the younger side (40) but the laxity in my neck has been bothering me for years. I found an amazing surgeon but I still have the folds that bothered me from the beginning. Im not sure if this is just normal or if the surgeon was just too conservative.
6 months after platysmaplasty to fix bands left by lipo (no new lipo, no skin or submental fat removal, no ear incisions, just front corset and hyoid fixation) I have Adams apple (Im a woman), cobra neck (hollow where platysma fixated to hyoid, bands pull forward on either side), and wrinkles when I turn my head. What can be done? See other posts for more detail. Doc says will go away but has gotten worse and Im not sure if I should trust him again. Im only 32, neck now looks like old lady.
Hi I am 44 and had a mini face and neck lift 6 months ago. I have contacted the clinic where I had this surgery to express my concerns with results as I dont feel the neck lift has worked I can still see the lose skin on my neck that I was promised would be gone. I also have concerns with the incision scars and placement which I have also emailed about. I have had one follow up face to face appt with my surgeon who fobbed me off saying the results look great. Surgeon has now left practice?
