Hi I am 44 and had a mini face and neck lift 6 months ago. I have contacted the clinic where I had this surgery to express my concerns with results as I don’t feel the neck lift has worked I can still see the lose skin on my neck that I was promised would be gone. I also have concerns with the incision scars and placement which I have also emailed about. I have had one follow up face to face appt with my surgeon who fobbed me off saying the results look great. Surgeon has now left practice?
Answer: Recommend doing morpheus8 to help improve results Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: What you should know about neck lift recovery Thank you for your question and for providing photos. I’m sorry you didn’t receive satisfactory results from your neck lift procedure. Since your initial surgery was less than a year ago, it is too early to consider a revision. It would be a good idea to schedule an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can review your surgical history, oversee your healing process, and determine the best course of action for you. As you recover from your neck lift surgery, you may want to consider non-surgical alternatives, such as RF microneedling, laser resurfacing, or injectable treatment options to improve the appearance of the loose skin and vertical neck bands. The facial plastic surgeon you consult will be able to guide you on the best treatment options.

Answer: Skin Tightening for the Neck -- Kybella, Ultherapy, PDO NovaThreads, Thermage vs VASER Lipo w/ ThermiRF, Neck Lift A combination of non-surgical options like Kybella, PDO NovaThreads, Ultherapy and Thermage would do well in combination for skin tightening for the neck. VASER Liposuction (with ThermiRF, Renuvion and InMode FaceTite) is a great alternative for contouring and tightening the chin and neck and can be combined with a neck lift at the same time, if you're a candidate. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist to develop a long-term treatment plan that works for you. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Revision You have prominent vertical muscle bands. The large bands will be a particular problem. I would recommend a deep plane lift with undermining under the platysma up to the paratracheal structures to get a good lateral pull on the platysma. Best of luck!
