Dear doctor I had 8 small moles removed from my head with a laser about 10 months ago. And I notice that new moles appear in other areas of my scalp since then. Can removing moles cause new moles to appear in areas close to the areas from which moles were removed?
I'm 43 years old. I have big birthmark mole on scalp oval 3cm in diameter. It's slightly raised light brown. Can it be removed without leaving bald spot. Not sure if scalp has enough laxity to close such big wound if excised. It' on midscalp region. Grey hairs are growing from it. I have it since forever.
I have an ugly big mole on my head and I want to have it removed. It is of the same color of my scalp and its shape has changed, it looks kind of like a mushroom with thin edges. It is very soft and sometimes it hurts. I have a hard time getting my hair done because I am embarrassed and I never let anyone run their fingers through my hair for the same reason. How would that get removed? Would they need to shave my hair? Would the insurance cover the removal. I am a female by the way. Thanks.
I would like to have a mole looked at that is located on my scalp and seems to be of concern. I have a history of dysplastic nevi (2) and my sister has had melanoma. I just had a breast augmentation 1 month ago. I am wondering if a biopsy or full excision of the mole , even though on my scalp, could lead to possible infection of the implants so soon after. ?? I am also wanting to get Botox and filler soon. How long do I have to wait for that?
30 yr old male, hispanic, darker skin complexion. Healthy otherwise. No history of skin cancer in family. Although history of other cancers. The mole in the Temple i have had for many years. Just lately after haircuts i have noticed it darker and more prominent. There is no suppuration or anything. The one in my scalp is more recent. I thought it was a pimple and have messed with it. I have scratched it , tried to squeeze it and scrape it off. Such efforts have lead to bleeding sometimes.
little smaller than a pencil eraser and in located on the top right side of my scalp about an inch above my hair line. Its covered by my hair. but lately it has been painful and bleeds, its always been a pale color with a little bit of red to it I have had other moles removed from my neck by being froze. can i do this for the scalp mole? Not worried about scaring, considering its completely covered by my hair. But i am scared it will be painful, cause more problems later. can this be froze off?
It will bleed if it's accidently combed over with a brush. It appeared a few years ago while I was pregnant. It's in a very inconvenient spot for me. I want to have it removed because it affects how I take care of my hair, I just want to make sure this is seen as needed. Also I would feel better to know it's not cancerous.
