Mole Removal after breast augmentation

Question

I would like to have a mole looked at that is located on my scalp and seems to be of concern. I have a history of dysplastic nevi (2) and my sister has had melanoma. I just had a breast augmentation 1 month ago. I am wondering if a biopsy or full excision of the mole , even though on my scalp, could lead to possible infection of the implants so soon after. ?? I am also wanting to get Botox and filler soon. How long do I have to wait for that?

There is no reason why you cannot get mole removal after getting implant procedure.  See an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I have never been asked this question before.  All the procedures that you have listed are considered clean procedures and I would feel comfortable performing them one month after your previous surgery.  If your scalp requires sutures and you want to proceed with an abundance of caution the physician can give you a short course of antibiotics although deep down I don't think that would be necessary.

OK, with that history, you do need to see a dermatologist for a diagnosis. Full excision will not lead to any chance of infection at one month, especially if all wounds are healed. All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
