I had a mole on my upper lip removed yesterday Im supposed to go back to have my sutures removed next week, looking at my incision no one can see the sutures, how will they remove them or did they use dissolvable sutures?
I had a mole excised from the side of my calf and they used dissolving stitches. The stitches dropped out after a week, and I did what they said, kept the area moist with aquaphor and a bandaid covering it for 2 weeks after the surgery. Were now at 5 weeks on and the wound hasnt closed (its smaller but still a hole) and its been draining. The fluid doesnt smell. A little itchy but generally feel okay. Should I go back? And do I have to pay another copay if I do?
Ive had it ever since I was a kid and finally got it taken of yesterday it was done by a plastic surgeon and he surgically cut it off and then cauterized it and stitched it with dissolvable and normal stitches just because of its location. Ive been taking Tylenol for the pain but its not really helping. I can take ibuprofen at 5pm today he told me to wait 24hrs. I just want to know if its normal to be in so much pain ??? its not unbearable but its pretty distracting
1) How long until the stitches dissolve and 2) When can I start to use sunscreen and a concealer to cover up the reddish/brown scar where it was removed? I have been putting on auquafor about every 3 hours. Any other suggestions?
I have had my mole removed and my scab has fell off when I knocked it but I have had disolvable stitches in that still haven't dissolved from around 2-3 weeks ago, now my scab has fell off and I don't know what to do.
I had three moles removed 4 days ago, I was told the stitches would not dissolve for 10 to 14 days. It is only four days since the procedure, and the knots in the stitches are coming apart and no longer holding the incision together. Is this normal? or do I need to go get it stitched back together? I had a total of 3 moles removed, but this specific one is on the top of my left hand/wrist.
