Is this wound infected? 10 days post mole removal. (photo)

I had a mole removed 10 days ago which had dissolvable stitches. It appears that the stitches had began to dissolve leaving an ugly scab which is quite itchy. Im not sure if it is infected or just healing

A punch biopsy is an accepted method of removing a lesion.  However it can leave a white scar that is sometimes depressed or irregular.  You may want to have it revised once the healing is complete, usually after 3-6 months,

I recommend following up with your Doctor about your results and concerns.  Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. I recommend Silagen + Bioshield for 6 weeks after removal to improve healing. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
