I got two flat small moles removed from my face yesterday by a plastic surgeon. She removed them with a scalpel and cauterized the area with something that burned so bad, she put a bandaid on it and i went home. I noticed today that the area around my mole area is bruised and of course the mole area is red and a little sore is this mormal? How long does it take for the wound to heal?
I had a bump on my nose appear after a pimple and it never went away. I went to my family doctor and she wouldnt refer me to dermatologist because she said the bump was aesthetic. I looked for a medical office which told me they could remove the bump (never told me what it was). They cauterized it and removed it and a few weeks later it was back. Went again a year later to remove it and it came back again. What is it?
I have eruptive Syringomas around my mouth via biopsy. Doctor suggested I do Co2 laser. all of them turned me down because of risks of Co2 laser on darker complexions. So I tried erbium laser and it did not penetrate deep enough. I then invested in wart mole vanish cream. It is used for skin tags and acts as a natural cauterization method. I applied them to my Syringomas and now they look worse! Now I have a bigger problem and I dont know what to do.
I had my mole cauterized 24 hours ago from the centre of my chest. I am prone to keloid scarring but chose to take that risk. The dr put an antibiotic ointment on it and covered it with a small plaster. She told me to keep it on for 48 hours and then remove it to allow a scab to form. Ater doing a lot of research, every consultant and derm on this website from all over the world have stated NOT TO LET A SCAB FORM. So do I apply Vaseline and a dressing OR let it dry straight away? Help
I got a mole removed 4 days ago by shave excision then was cauterized to stop some bleeding. I have been cleaning the incision everyday with warm water and mild soap, applying Vaseline and covering it with a Tegaderm Pad. There has been a small amount of thick, light brown discharge with a slight odor. The excision is located under the breast, and is very painful with any type of movement. I wondering if it looks like it is healing properly or looks infected?
It appears to look very dark, darker than it was before. I was worried but I assume that it's just the top layer that was burned but that layer will soon come off. Currently I'm keeping it moist with a bandaid over it, is what i'm thinking correct?
Ive had it ever since I was a kid and finally got it taken of yesterday it was done by a plastic surgeon and he surgically cut it off and then cauterized it and stitched it with dissolvable and normal stitches just because of its location. Ive been taking Tylenol for the pain but its not really helping. I can take ibuprofen at 5pm today he told me to wait 24hrs. I just want to know if its normal to be in so much pain ??? its not unbearable but its pretty distracting
I would like to get it removed by cauterization but I do have some doubts since I know the skin around this area tends to be thinner (a little precision just for you know the skin around my eyelids is neither particularly thin nor thick and my mole is a little raised but really small). I heard cauterization on the eyelids is totally fine but I still wanted to ask another professional to be 100% sure). Thanks a lot for your answer!
I had two moles removed next to my belly button a week ago. They were removed using a shave extraction because he said they looked atypical. He did mention during it that one was deeper than he expected. He had to cauterize it. On that one, it has a dark spot that looks like the mole is still completely there. Is that from the cauterizing or is there still mole left? I haven't gotten my results back. These moles showed up about 5 years ago and started changing 1 year ago while I was pregnant.
