Hello. I had a mini tummy tuck and Vader lipo around 5 days ago. I am recovering well. I am seeing my surgeon again next week to have the dressing removed & wound checked. I am wearing the compression garment as advised 24/7 but this adds to the lower back pain. When I slightly pull the garment forward (as in away from my skin) I can stand straighter and feel relived. Is this normal? Is the garment adding to the strain on my back? Any advice would be welcomed. Thank you
I had my 1 month post op visit and my PS said I could stop wearing my binder. I've been wearing it 24/7 since my surgery. I keep reading 6 weeks for a lot of women. I hesitated when he advised me and he said I have 1 week to stop wearing it, I think he felt my resistance. He also said since I didn't get liposuction that a compression garment isn't necessary. Will this affect my end result by not wearing it longer? I hated the binder and trust my PS but want to know if this is common?
I was told to wait at least 1 month I wear jeans to avoid creasing? Also what garment are the most comfortable? The ones provided to me have the straps and those hurt more than my actual procedure.
Hello I had a tummy tuck done on May 16th. The first timeI took off the compression garment was 5 days post-op. I was really disappointed about the results but my nurse told me do not worry it is all very swollen. It has been 2 weeks now and it looks exactly the same if not a little worse. Should I be expecting to get the flat stomach my doctor promised. me or am I just worrying to early at this stage? My stomach looked smaller before the operation now it looks even bigger compared to pre-op.
I am bigger now than I was at 4 weeks post-op. I wear the compression wrap during workouts and it leaves indents around my abdomen and there is still a small amount of bruising on my flanks. Am I gaining weight again and/or bloated? Should I still be wearing compression garments during strenuous workouts? I am extremely satisfied with my results 4 weeks p/o but feel that my results have been decreasing since - added puffiness. If I am still swollen, what can I do to decrease swelling? Thank you!
I am also wearing a very tight garment, and wondering if this is helping me or making the indentions worse? I feel like there are dents and rippling abnormally below my belly button. I am 3 days post op of modified mini tummy tuck. Basically he just repaired my abs above and below belly button ( said I didn't have skin to remove). He stiched, he said , where the indentations are , so that my skin would adhere to the muscle. Is this normal and permanent?
I am one week post mini-tummy tuck and very happy, but the compression garments they gave me go from my knees to my chest. They told me today I need to wear it for 2-3 more weeks. They also said they just order a standard garment that will work for different kinds of patients. So I started looking around the net for garments that are not so massive. I found many that are not so large and I also found binders. Since I have had no leg work done can I get a smaller garment? Is just a binder OK?
