Is it normal to stitch skin to muscle wall, so that it starts to adhere to it?

I am also wearing a very tight garment, and wondering if this is helping me or making the indentions worse? I feel like there are dents and rippling abnormally below my belly button. I am 3 days post op of modified mini tummy tuck. Basically he just repaired my abs above and below belly button ( said I didn't have skin to remove). He stiched, he said , where the indentations are , so that my skin would adhere to the muscle. Is this normal and permanent?

From the submitted photos it appears you are a better candidate for a standard tummy tuck with liposuction for contouring. This would address excess subcutaneous fat and skin as well as correct abdominal wall laxity. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.
