What type of scarring is this? And will redness subside? I had a really badly inflamed spot/boil right on the bridge of my nose and it scabbed and swelled up and damaged the skin. The scab fell off over a month ago and i had a microneedling session where it bled a little. Will this scar disappear completely with time? sometimes the redness dies down and other days its more inflamed is this normal?
I had microneedling done 6 months ago. The first session went well with no complications or reactions. 2 weeks later when I had my second session, I reacted instantly with the very first needle-skin contact under my eye. I started to swell immediately and we stopped the procedure. The swelling was extremely drastic and took up to 4 weeks to go down. It left major pigmentation, worse that the original one. My question is, should I try this again or is a complete NO-NO
Hello doctors, this is my third microneedling and Im experiencing swelling and lots of sensation of burning which didnt happen in the previous procedures. I used vitamin C serum and numb cream with the procedure. Should I be concerned about the swelling? What over-the-counter drug should I use to help with swelling? Picture 1 was 2 hours after treatment, pic 2 was about 10 hours with swelling. Thank you for your help!
It's been 27 hours and I'm still nearly unrecognizable due to the swelling and it's impacting my eyesight. I have sensitive skin, however, I'm not that red. Not sure the size of needle (will confirm when clinic opens). I've been icing it and took benadryl (knowing this may counteract the collagen production). I've never experience an allergic reaction like this before. I have only used my regular cleanser and moisturizer today, so shouldn't be that. How can I reduce the swelling? Thanks!
I just had my second microneedling treatment, and I have a concern. My skin texture looked AMAZING the day after my first treatment, but my indented scarring basically returned after a week. This was kind of a bummer as I was super excited by my immediate results. I would say that the appearance of my scars improved by about 60-70% only to revert back to only a little bit better than it was pre-treatment. Is this because of swelling?
I have read varying instructions online about the use of antihistamines after microneedling. Some say that taking an antihistamine after microneedling will make the treatment not as effective because the inflammatory response is necessary to build collagen. Others recommend taking one to help with the redness and swelling. Which is it? Thanks.
3 days ago I had microneedling done. I woke up the next morning w/whiteheads that progressed throughout the day. This morning I woke up and they are much more agressive; it seems like my swelling and redness is getting worse. The whiteheads itch and sting terribly. I am also drooling and having a hard time talking, eating and drinking. I called my doctor 3 times and she says it is all normal except the drooling but that I probably having an underlying medical condition I should see a doctor for.
I had RF Micro-needling done 6 days ago. The clinic I used is closed today. I had the normal swelling and redness that went away with 24-48 hours. However, I still have raised itchy bumps everywhere. I am concerned that this might remain this way or that it might be some sort of allergic reaction. What can I do to alleviate the bumps and is this normal?
