Follow-up question: Is this swelling and lots of sensation normal for my third microneedling treatment? (Photos)

Question

Hello doctors, this is my third microneedling and I’m experiencing swelling and lots of sensation of burning which didn’t happen in the previous procedures. I used vitamin C serum and numb cream with the procedure. Should I be concerned about the swelling? What over-the-counter drug should I use to help with swelling? Picture 1 was 2 hours after treatment, pic 2 was about 10 hours with swelling. Thank you for your help!

you should be on the proper post care and it doesnt seem like you are especially for your sensitive skintype. Burns need a combination of:
1) healing lasers and light such as aerolase or laser genesis and LED therapy with light stim
2) topical growth factors, stem cells, antioxidants
3) oxygen facials
4) platelet rich plasma and A cell topically
5) sun protection
6) vascular lasers for redness such as venus versa IPL, excel V KTP, and pulsed dye laser/VBeam
After 6-12 weeks you can treat for hyperpigmentation with cosmelan peels, hydroquinone, retinol or non ablative lasers like clear and brilliant or radiofrequency like venus viva.

Hello, the products you use after microneedling are essential for proper healing.  We always recommend our patients use the Anteage stem cell serum post procedure.  It will help reduce the redness and swelling as well as accelerate your results.  You will likely experience some peeling (which is normal post microneedling but you should heal just fine.  Make sure you are keeping your skin moisturized.  Good luck!
