What can I use for extreme redness and dryness 4 days post microneedling? (Photos)

Thanks for your question. If you cannot see your plastic surgeon for four days, you may consider sending them photos of your concern. Sometimes prolonged redness after skin treatments can be infection (bacterial, fungal, viral), or simply irritation which can be treated with topical steroid creams. Warm regards.

Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture. It is normal to have redness after microneedling for a few days and this is due to inflammation and histamine release. If it doesn't resolve in a few days, please consult your Doctor.  I find adding PRP decreases redness more quickly and we like to do microneedling with lasers to get better outcomes.  Best, Dr. Emer
