1) So for pitted scars a depth of 1.5-2.5mm is advisend for a beneficial effect. This whole suggestion is based on the skin cross-section of undamaged skin though. Since athropic scars are exactly missing tissue, wouldnt that mean that less depth is advisable? 2) To increase the chance of breaking up tethered scar fibers with MN wouldnt diagnoal punctures instead of perfectly vertical ones make more sense? (picture) Im very curious to hear some thoughts on my questions. Thanks for your isight!
I have a couple of pitted scars on my cheek which I would like to improve the appearance of. I have included three photos using different lighting of the scars I want to treat. What effect will microneedling have on these scars and is there a better treatment for them?
I have pitted type marks in two lines down each side of my chin, these just developed overnight over a year ago. I fill like nothing will fix them. I have seen people look at me oddly due to them. They Are very obvious and I really want to know why I went from a smooth mouth/chin area to now what looks like a strange looking chin. I have gotten fillers (half ml in both cheeks and in mid cheek area to lift the skin) and 6 units of Botox in chin for dimpling plus going for my 3rd Micro.
Im left with pitted scars which are espacially visible when smiling or moving the face. I want to find a way to regain my full cheeks without indentations (or as minimal as possible). Still have active acne but I plan to get to the scar treatment as soon as my skin clears. Im thankful for any tips, wether microneedling will help me effectively, because my scars seem tethered.
I usually do micro dermabrasion On my face since I have some Shallow pits and scarring from acne and some hyperpigmentation. My aesthetician recommended for my next visit to do micro needling. My skin is very sensitive and very dry naturally, so I am afraid to have this done. In my country we do not use the PRP they basically inject vitamins and then do the micro needling. Is the MIcroneedling safe to do?
I have completed 4 series of RF microneedling of 1 month interval each. But I couldn't see much difference. My doctor said that need one more treatment and it works on time . Will it cure of my acne scars? How long it will take to see result ? Or do I need to take any other treatment option?
I have been recommended by a few plastic surgeons as well as estheticians to get micro needling for my pitted acne scars. However, I thought that estheticians are not allowed to penetrate the skin at certain depths. Am I better off seeing a doctor or esthetician for micro needling?
