Microneedling + Lips Q&A

Also, is it okay to get lip filler before getting one? Also- What should I have ready after my microneedling appointment? For example, is there a specific cream or a type of sunscreen thats gentle on the skin?

I am 67 years old and white female with a black mark over the top of my lips. I have read its important to treat it early but my dermatologist just tells me to wait. He has recommended microneedling but i want to know other options. I read at the N.I.H web site that its important to get it treated promptly. So i just have no idea what i should do

So I got Liplift 2 years ago and my scar got flat only 6 months ago after using silicone sheets. It is very white and I thought that micro needling might help to renew blood circulation and rebuild the collagen. I would be very thankful if someone could help me how to deal with it..thank you !

I underwent a cyst removal procedure on my lip. After healing, theres slightly raised, bright white scaring along where the incision was as well as 3 out of 4 spots where suture was. I have visited with many plastic surgeons and dermatologist regarding how to reduce the appearance of scaring and there seems to be two options: Microneedling w/ PRP and medical tattooing. I have one clinic pushing heavily for MN W/ PRP and one for tattooing. Im not sure which would be the best route.

I had microneedling under my nose for my 11 month old lip lift scar two days ago (0.6 mm x 3 passes). Previous to this, I still had stiffness under my nose making my lip look teepee-ish in the middle, but that was slowly going away. Today, I noticed that the area under my nose is a lot tighter again - I was hoping to avoid this as the lip looks teepee-ish again. Is this temporary and will this go away ? I was trying to help the look of my scar.

If used on the edges will it increase the collagen, making them fuller, or to improve the definition of the edges of the lips in a 50ish year old woman? If so, what the most effective needle and frequency?

I have a few questions regarding micro needling, specifically micro needling with prp. First, does this treatment help reduce pore size, or at least the appearance of pores? Second, is it safe to do laser hair removal (chin, lip, eyebrow area) before or after having micro needling done? And lastly, is it possible to test a small area of your skin to see how your skin responds to this treatment before going through with your entire face?

Would laser, mimicking needling, be more effective around the lips, chin,eyes and jowl area than fillers? If so, what sort of laser?How long do results last?
