Round, sensitive lump on face 6 months after limited incision facelift. Could this be fat necrosis?

I am a 55 y/o woman and had a limited incision lower facelift with lipo 6 months ago. I have a small lump that is sensitive to the touch on my cheek. It almost has a bluish appearance. Could this be a fat necrosis? Is there anything that can be done or do I give it more time? Any advice/thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Thank you for your question. It is hard to know what that lump could be without seeing you in person. I recommend making an appointment with your surgeon to have an in-person examination; they should be able to determine what it is most likely to be and therefore what can be done, if anything. An examination is needed to be certain, especially since you did not provide a photo. I would suggest going back to your surgeon and discussing your concerns.
