I gotten my Medusa done 3 times the 3rd time there was a small amount of scar tissue and its been about a month and I had to change it to a plastic horseshoe ring for my job and I noticed its about thee size of pea or a bit bigger but it isnt painful but I noticed it and it is hard to change it should I remove it or do a saline wash and salt water on the inside to help reduce it? I love this piercing and dont want to lose it. Help please
Had facial feminization surgery in September, which included chin feminization with lateral tapering, vertical shortening & sliding genio. Love the results, but healing caused reduced vestibule height on left side of lower lip. Asymmetry & tightness affect speaking, smiling & lip mobility. An irregularity in skin texture in shortened area appears as raised, firm dots & suggests scar tissue. Grateful for advice, as inquiries have been unsuccessful. Is inner lip surgery required?
I got into a fight 8 years back that busted my lip and it ended up getting a nasty staph infection that eventually cleared up, but left me with one side of my lip bigger than the other. There is some scar tissue embedded in that I can feel when I lightly bite into the inside of my lip but otherwise can't be seen superficially. Please help!
This nodule was caused by a botched medusa piercing. It's about the size of a pea. Not only am I unhappy with the appearance, it easily gets irritated when eating and drinking. After spending hundreds on consultations with zero luck so far, I've decided to come here for answers. Please let me know if it's fixable!
I have an old lip injury from sport (more than 25 years old) which has causes a lip scar on the left of my upper lip. Naturally this mwans that my lips are now assymetrical and a crooked smile. While not particularly bothersome, I've now decided that I would like to improve it. What are the options available? perhaps lip filler to improve the assymetry or a minor surgical procedure? Thank you
I had an accident in June 2016 and I got scar tissue inside my lip. A year after that I had scar revision to remove scar tissue but the doctor made it even worse. Can I have scare revision for second time or use lip filler for the other side of my lip to make it even..?!
I went to an inexperience injector. What I was told, the injector had placed Juverderm in my upper lip. It created scar tissue & stretched my lips, lumps & created unevenness overtime. Ive tried dissolving. Refilling & PRP treatments. There is no product in my lips, just soft scar. Im nervous about the pain associated with lip surgery & this is why I didnt considered it. If surgery is the only solution I am open to it now or anything else.
Hi. I had a mucocele removed from my left lower lip exactly 2 weeks ago. It was large and the maxiofacial surgeon said he also removed surrounding salivary glands. 2 weeks later Im still unable to smile and have a big scab on my lip. Also inside my lip, Ive noticed there is solid swelling where the stitches were. Is this scar tissue? Will it go down or will it be there permanently? Im d it does go down; roughly how long should it be until I start seeing results?
I went to doctor who had done 3 surgeries and he just made it worse. I'm so swollen under my nose and shape of my lip is very improper. Then I got recommendation from another doctor to pul my lip up by having done surgery under my nose. I only got new scar, because after a couple months my skin stretched probably and my lip went back down. The shape of my lip doesn't bother as much as the swollen part. Would another surgery, or any injection help? Or any other good advice? I would appreciate.
In September, my dog bit my upper lip. I had an amazing plastic surgeon operate on me. But I have completely lost my Cupids bow. On the left side of my upper lip, it's lower and more taught because of pulling the sides together to close the wound and I want to know how to correct it. There's definitely scar tissue inside the upper lip that I have been massaging to help but as the swelling went down the shape did not change. I'm heartbroken.
