Hi. I had a mucocele removed from my left lower lip exactly 2 weeks ago. It was large and the maxiofacial surgeon said he also removed surrounding salivary glands. 2 weeks later I’m still unable to smile and have a big scab on my lip. Also inside my lip, I’ve noticed there is solid swelling where the stitches were. Is this scar tissue? Will it go down or will it be there permanently? I’m d it does go down; roughly how long should it be until I start seeing results?
