Lip Reduction + Smile Q&A

I am 37 and I hate my smile. Not the teeth, though my bite is slightly open and protruded, but how triangular my smile is (how my lower lip splays out in an odd shape - see my photo and the actress'). What causes this, and can it be changed it anyway? It's really unattractive.

I have consulted several docs about the lip lift option but all of them said that it would not be possible as the area between the bottom of my nose and my upper lip is ideal and isnt long so they cannot cut any excess off. My teeth do not show when I smile or talk. This lack of teeth visibility makes me look terrible. What can I do about this? I feel very conscious about not having a normal smile

When i smile i feel the nose bone under the nose tip pushing my upper lip down causing that I don't show teeth. I don't know if the problems is my lips, muscles or nosebone. What to do ?

Hello Doctors, I am someone who has a bottom lip that hides the bottom of my teeth when I smile. Can that be fixed with lip reduction ? Plus, can a lip reduction and vermilion advancement on the bottom lip be performed together to showcase teeth but maintain lip volume? Thanks.

I am attaching some pictures here. I dont know what procedure can help me? I cant even smile like before! My lower lips are fine but upper is changing its shape. When ever I search online I can only see treatments for lip enhancement, but did not see anyone with my problem! Is this problem a rare one!

I am very insecure about my smile, my lip rolls under and extra lip sticks out creating a double lip. I also have a thick frenulum attachment from my upper lip to my gums, this is very unflattering. When lips are closed my upper lip appears very bumpy and uneven, my lips dont look proportional.

I have been dissatisfied with the size of my philtrum all my life. I have a very short philtrum and my nose touches my upper lip when I smile...which makes me really self-conscious... I never smile while my mouth open because of this. That extra skin makes it look like i have double upper lip. If i get rid of it would it make problems for closing my mouth or anything like that? Any idea how much would it cost?
