I am a mid 20s male with a long philtrum and low tooth show. I am satisfied with the size and shape of my upper lip, which is why I have not gotten a lip lift. Is there a lip lift technique that can increase toothshow and reduce philtrum length while minimizing the change to the upper vermilion?
For reasons that I won't go into due to lack of space here, I would prefer to have a lip lift done using the vermilion border advancement technique rather than the subnasal or under-the-nose bullhorn method of lip lift. I know that the scar can be hidden better with the bullhorn method and that is why it is used more, but is the vermilion border method ever still used? Or is the scar around the mouth just always so horrible that I will not find any doctor who uses it anymore? Thank you!
Hi, My nasolable angle is too large. I considered a lip lift but have been told on numerous occasions that my lips are too thin for this that it would likely look unnatural in the middle. I have also been recomended vermillion advancement: would this be able to decrease my nasolabial angle and create a better lip look? Im concerned this might look uncanny on a man. Many thanks!
I recently had a corner lip lift where the incision was limited to the vermillion border. This gave me more red lip show, but didn't address my main concern, which is my drooping corners. I'm upset that my primary concern was not addressed at all and I'm looking to get a corner lip lift where the incision is a triangle/diamond wedge removed at the edges of my lip with a scar extending past my lip (not what happened with my previous procedure). What is the soonest I could get it?
Hi! I had a vermillion advancement (technically I think it was called a modified upper lip lift) The incision was along the vermillion border of my lip. Anyways, I noticed this sort of discolored bump that is lighter than the rest of my lip in the very middle on the top. It is number than the rest of my lip. I was just wondering what this could be? The procedure was 2 months ago, but I am awaiting a follow up with my surgeon as his office is far from my house.
Hello doctors, I did a vermilion border liplift to reduce my philtrum and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I lost the white border of my lip, and also I have asymmetry. One side is higher and rounded the other side is lower and straight down. This caused my smile to be lower in one side and higher on the other side. Can I do a lip reduction or can I reduce my left side of the vermillion border thats rounded and lifted to match the right or will this cause more scarring & worst smile?
I had two consults regarding a lip lift, and absolutely certain I do not want bullhorn. One doctor suggested direct (vermillion) on upper, VY on lower, while the other surgeon said vermillion all the way. I would so appreciate another opinion.
I scheduled a consult with a doctor in NY who said Im a good candidate for a Vermilion border lip lift. I have a short distance between my nose and lip so I am NOT a candidate for a subnasal lift. Can you please give some advice? I know there can be a scar associated with this procedure I am 30 years old. The top photo is my lips with filler and bottom photo is my dream lip shape. Appreiciate your advice!
Is it possible to undergo a lip lift procedure without increasing the size of the upper lip? Cutting off a bit of philtrum length without making the face look more feminine/ duck lips?
Bullhorn (or similar) lip lift in 60 year old female. Am I suitable candidate? I dont want just the central part lifted as it would change me but Im asking is it surgically possible for the whole upper lip be lifted in equal proportion eg no more than 2mm the whole way across the top vermillion border? Just to get me back to how I was a few years ago?
