Some history: I had extensive orthodontic work for 7 years as a child and although my teeth came out in great shape, I believe it really messed up my lips, especially when I'm smiling. My lips are naturally thin, but my upper lip would get caught on my top set of braces, causing the skin on the inside of my lip to sag down. It also made my smile just overall very uneven. I'm thinking a lip lift will not only balance my face a little better, but also fix the unevenness of my lips.
My lips are very thin. It's not just volume, it's their short length, vertical & horizontal. I want a lip lift, but I already have a somewhat small/normal philthrum. Are there any techniques or options for lip lifts where the philthrum isn't impacted? I don't really have any upper teeth show & dont have a gummy smile. &lip fillers isnt something I want bc of migration and not permanent. I don't want permalip either bc of migration risks. Any other options
My upper lip has always been very thin and it has bothered me a lot. I decided to get lip fillers, and now I'm done with 4 sessions (1 ml was injected each time) and I still don't see much difference. I think my body dissolves it very quickly. Half of my upper teeth is not visible when I smile. I measured my philtrum and it's 1,5 cm. Would I be a good candidate for a lip lift? I also want to have a rhinoplasty as I have a hanging columella. Can they be combined?
I am a 32yo female with genetically extremely thin lips (+ small mouth, long face & long noise). I've tried fillers and want a permanent solution to improve my face proportions. I have been told by 2 surgeons that lip lift was a good option, another told me that since my nose base is very narrow, the scar would be awful. Besides, some told me I could have a lipofilling on the lower lip, some do not recommend it due to the risks of asymetry. What is your advice?
Hello, I am turning 47 this year and have been increasingly unhappy about the length of my philtrum. I no longer have any upper tooth show. However, my lips are still nicely shaped. Although my lips have thinned over the years, they did maintain some fullness. I have had threading of the lip border done once. So, am I a good candidate for bullhorn with corner lip lift, or is my upper lip too full compared to my lower? Also, what kind of cost would I be looking at in Southern CA? Thank you!
26 years old, teeth already showing, want more proportionate plump lips. Seeking advice from experienced surgeon regarding my lips reshaping. My chin & the space between nose and lips are both too long, whereas my lips are quite thin (I have juviderm fillers, but I'm not happy with the result and want something long-lasting). My teeth are already showing when my lips are parted, and when I smile my upper lip has a tendency to jump up too much (I get Botox periodically to prevent it). Should I consider bull horn lift? Lower lip lift? Corner lift? Buccal fat removal?..
I went to a plastic surgeon because my upper lip is very thin! He told me my case is difficult for various reasons and that my philtrum is a bit long and that it would not work just to put filler in my top lip. Then he said that I would benefit from him injecting filler into my philtrum, which would then lift my top lip, making lip bigger and reducing the length of the philtrum. Is this right? Or would I need a lip lift? Would lip lift look good? Cant find anything on filler in philtrum!
My lips are incredibly thin. I recently had veneers put on my front 10 teeth - my normal teeth slightly protruded inwards and therefore my upper lip had zero support. Whilst I can feel that support now, its hard to see a big change to my lip size. Id like to get a lip lift to increase the red lip, but am concerned about too much teeth show and my chin looking huge in comparison to my small philtrum (currently 17mm). Would a chin reduction work be required or lower vermillion advancement?
