So Ive wanted lip fillers for years and Ive had consults with doctors. They all tell me its best or well the only way to avoid bumps, lumps, migration and or necrosis or vascular occlusion is to go slow and build over time so like 1ml each visit maybe less. This is a bit tough for me to grasp because I want my end goal outcome straight away after waiting so long. Can you all help me feel okay with going slow? I have my appointment next month for juvaderm
I had my first experience of juvederm yesterday and the nurse practitioner hit an artery i suffered an occlusion and within moments I developed necrosis immediately she dissolved the filler within minutes, Is this just a bad experience or is it something i could have done again in the future? Obviously I am now very nervous about any procedures but have always wanted my lips doing and would like a definitive answer
I got dermal fillers (juvaderm 4) injected into my nasolabial folds yesterday. I've noticed that the area most filler (small lump) om the skin on top appear blanched (whiter) than the surrounding area. it is just next to the little red bruise. It also feels a lot 'tighter' in this area. Is the blanched skin due to skin necrosis? I went to an experienced filler and I don't have any pain apart from the area feeling a bit tighter. I can't feel the fillers on any of the other parts of my face.
I had filler to my nasolabial fold 7 days ago and read that it cause blindness which made me freak out big time and I need some answers: 1) can filler migrate from the nasolabial folds, or put prolonged pressure on arteries that will result in blindeness? 2) How long after you had the filler injected are you of risk of skin necrosis? can the filler 'expand' and cause necrosis after some time? if this is the case I think I want to remove it. help!
After juvederm to lips, everything around my mouth and on my cheek turned purple. Im in pain, lips on fire, Swollen, every injection site had a dark purple spot. The dr said it was caused by my swelling constricting a blood vessel. He massaged my face and around my lips. I can see beginning of ulcers, mini craters, Lumps on the area that turned purple. Dr said it was all superficial but the right side of the face is droopy. Are they not telling me the truth, I need to know what really happened?
Hi there! I had lip filler done two days ago with Juvederm. Upon injection my upper lip blanched and turned blue. My doctor immediately recognized it as a vascular occlusion and within 40 minutes he used two vials of hyaluronidase to remove the occlusion. I am not in severe pain however, the corner of my upper lip is tingly and numb. I cant tell if this is severe bruising or the start of necrosis. I booked in with him for this afternoon to check but I want more opinions. Thank you.
Juverderm plus injected directly into my artery. On week 2 now looks more like second degree burn after melting some filler out. What/ how can I fix this and will I need corrective measures.
I just got Juvederm Ultra XC lip injections for the first time, and upon doing the last injection on my bottom lip, the nurse quickly told me I was bleeding and that it would definitely bruise. The bruise in question is somewhat white colored with a light blue inside, and I'm worried that it is necrosis/tyndall effect as opposed to normal bruising. Figured I would get a second/third party opinion, because I am somewhat of a hypochondriac and really anxious about it!
