I had IPL/ND Yag laser treatment on face to treat a vascular type birthmark on my face? (photo)

I experienced extreme swelling, burning and blistering. It has been almost 6 days and my face is still oozing pink and orange fluid with blisters. I was told that I should be able to wear makeup the day following the treatment and worse case might have a little blister or two. I paid for 5 treatments, but I am fearful of doing this again.

Thank you for your question. I have seen this before, and they are like "old faithful" and will return another day to darken up and be your "beauty mark" once again. The pigment removal is temporary, and pigment should return in 3-6 months. I hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. This will depend on the state you live in. Some states allow medical assistants to administer laser and broad band light procedures. California and New York, among others have more strict criteria in order to administer these type of treatments. I hope this helps.

I don’t suggest this, home laser devices are very low in energy that wont see a significant result from and may risk burning your skin or pigmenting. Seek a medical provider and have a professional treatment done.
