Im at the end of my Invisalign treatment, having had the aligners on for three months. One of my two front teeth that I wanted adjusting appears shorter than the other, however my dentist said this can only be fixed with composite bonding. I asked about refinements as Ive not yet had any and they advised my teeth wouldnt move more, would bands fix the issue? Also if Im still not happy, would Invisalign refinements work after Ive got the composite bonding/is it recommended to insist?
I am at a loss on how to fix my smile. I have been told I have a deep bite. I saw a cosmetic dentist and she recommended me 6 veneers and 2 bonding for a total of 8 front teeth. I am most insecure about the length of my teeth, but I read veneers are problematic with a deep bite. Will Invisalign help me show more teeth when I smile to get rid of dark spaces in the corners as well as possible pull down my lateral incisors? Should I do Invisalign followed by cosmetic bonding for touch up of edges?
I've finished 14 trays. My bonded retainers wont work on top teeth as bottom teeth keep hitting the glue or more glue is removed and it breaks. I've been 6 times with broken retainer in 3 weeks. Is this normal? Now she wants to glue half retainer and rely on the overnight retainer. I'm concerned my unbonded tooth will move as it has always been the worst one. Its a zig zag shape and sits mostly on roof of mouth with glue on the top of my teeth. I feel like my teeth are moving already.
Theres a black triangle between #9 and #10. I think I made a mistake in choosing my dentist but Im at the end of refinements, maybe too late to switch. Im not confident in my dentist performing IPRs based on whats done to my bottom teeth. I am concerned it will change the shape of the tooth and look very unsymmetrical vs the other lateral incisor. Should I just finish the refinement and get Bioclear/bonding later, or I should get IPR to reduce the black triangle?
I am not happy with the appearence of my teeth, upon going to the dentist he devised a treatment plan. Invisalign, fixed retainer and composite bonding on my lateral incisors to fix the open bite look. When he took my xrays he noticed my roots are shorter on my lateral incisors and asked a more senior dentist for 2nd opinion - both agreed it would be fine to go ahead. The short roots make me nervous, can anyone offer advice? Would the treatment have negative effect on my short roots?
I am currently in the middle of 64 week Invisalign treatment and my ClinCheck shows some spacing. Looks like I might need veneers or bonding to close up the space. My only concern is my retainer. Wouldn't changing the shape of my teeth interfere with my retainers?
Growing up, my parents did not have money for braces. I had a gap in my teeth, so my dentist fixed it with composite bonding. I am in college now and I know that when I graduate in a few years and have more money I will want to get braces or invisalign to fill my gap. My question is, when I do decide to get braces or invisalign, is it possible to have the bonding gradually removed throughout the orthodontics process so I dont have to have the entire gap exposed at once?
I got Invisalign a few months ago and I was very specific with the doctor that I had a porcelain crown on my front left tooth. I'm super cautious of that tooth because it was a very expensive crown. I had to have two attachments to that particular tooth and now the color and texture of my crown is different from the rest of my tooth. I asked the dentist about it and he just says it needs polishing at the end of treatment, but the color is way off. Please help
8 years ago my mom got me metal braces from a dentist who extracted four of my teeth behind the canines. I didn't wear my retainer for too long and now my gaps have become really large(close to 3 mm). How can I close out the gaps - (1)can i consider dental bonding?(2) or can i do invisalign treatment for this situation, or will metal braces be better in my situation? How long can it take? (3)if I go ahead with orthodontic treatment, will i have to wear retainers? for how long?
