I had the Halo laser procedure done 4 days ago. I live where it's winter (cold!) and would like to know if it's ok to go out for a short run with sunscreen. I still have a little swelling - mostly under my eyes and the flaking has started.
I had an aggressive Halo laser treatment yesterday. Today my face is so swollen that I feel my skin will burst. I have had other laser procedures in the past and have never swollen up like this. How long will it take for the swelling to subside and is there anything I can do to ease it a bit. Possibly ice or ibuprofen? I'm a bit nervous that because it's so swollen, the skin won't go back to it's normal shape. Given my age of 61 I'm nervous it will stay stretched after the swelling goes away.
I had a Halo treatment done last week. Im on day 3 of healing and still experiencing a lot of swelling and discoloration. My skin is dry & sand-papery. It is seeming like I might have a longer-than-anticipated recovery time. I forgot that I had booked a microblading touch-up at the end of this week (it will be 7 days after Halo treatment). Should I cancel? Could my skins recovery from the Halo treatment have a negative affect on the microblading or vice-versa?
I had Halo laser procedure done on my face 4 days ago. As the material stated, my face turned red, swelled, turned to bronze color with dots and started flaking. Day 3 my face no longer looked like a chunky Asian face- my face was huge, however my eyes remain being swelled badly. I am at day 4 post and most of the bronze has flaked off and my skin is red, however, I now have little white pimples all over my face. I did not read anything about this the pimples- any advise?
Inner eyelids started swelling at the end of Day 3, so I started taking Benadryl last night. I woke up this morning with swollen eyelids. The swelling went down some earlier in the day but the inner eyelids remain swollen. Benadryl doesnt seem to help much. Should I be concerned?
Im on Day 3 after a halo laser treatment for my Melasma. My dermatologist told me to expect MENDs on day 2. I know she used a lighter setting due to my melasma, but I have not experienced any MENDs, swelling or sensitivity since the treatment. My face feels fine and my melasma just looks darker. Is the laser still doing its job of removing the melanin without experiencing MENDs or did the treatment not work?
I understand the histamine release is the cause for swelling after a Halo facial. H1 (Claritin) and H2 (Pepcid) are sometimes recommended to help with swelling. I did have significant swelling after my first Halo but had great results. My question is, am I better off to avoid these medications to get the best results from Halo? If I decrease swelling using these medications will I also decrease Collagen production after Halo?
Last year I did not take oral steroids after the procedure. I did have a significant amount of swelling for 3 days and a total down time of one week. This time I would like to decrease the amount of downtime and swelling by using steroids. I know this will help decrease the swelling, however will this also decrease the amount of good results I would get if I did not use steroids? Specifically, will prednisone decrease the amount of collagen stimulation that I am trying to achieve with Halo?
I had Halo Pro to my face, neck, and chest yesterday. I was told an aggressive setting was used. However, I am only really red with brown spots. I have not experienced much swelling at all and never used any cold pack except after the initial 20 mins. Is this normal? Will it still be as effective?
