Last year I did not take oral steroids after the procedure. I did have a significant amount of swelling for 3 days and a total down time of one week. This time I would like to decrease the amount of downtime and swelling by using steroids. I know this will help decrease the swelling, however will this also decrease the amount of good results I would get if I did not use steroids? Specifically, will prednisone decrease the amount of collagen stimulation that I am trying to achieve with Halo?

What you are experiencing at 2 days is probably normal and probably good news that your prominent veins and red spots have been disrupted! This usually is resolved or much better at one to two weeks. See your PS in follow up to be sure.
It is safest to wait until your skin has healed a bit and the swelling has gone down. This should begin to happen around 2-3 days post-treatment. However, it is best to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, so running inside on a treadmill would be advisable if possible.
