How Can I Achieve a Feminine, Symmetrical Chin Without an Acromegalic Appearance?
Hello Doctors, I am considering sliding genioplasty, but I have a few important concerns. My goal is not to have a long, pointy, or acromegalic-looking chin. I also want to avoid a chin that looks overly projected or masculine from the front. My ideal result would be a soft, feminine, symmetrical, and natural-looking chin that improves my overall facial harmony. From the front, I do not want my chin to become longer. From the side, I would like better balance and projection, but without creating an overly prominent chin. I am also very concerned because my jaw is noticeably asymmetrical, and my upper and lower teeth do not meet properly when I bite. I would like to know whether sliding genioplasty could improve the appearance of my facial asymmetry or whether my jaw asymmetry would require a different approach. Based on my photos, do you think I am a good candidate for sliding genioplasty? If so: How many millimeters of advancement would you recommend? Would you recommend any vertical movement (lengthening or shortening) or horizontal correction to improve the symmetry? Could sliding genioplasty help make my chin appear more symmetrical? What surgical plan would achieve a feminine, balanced, and harmonious result while avoiding a pointy or acromegalic appearance? Thank you very much for your opinion.
