So the verdict is out that fillers are not the way to go because your body doesn't really absorb them, they just migrate to other parts of the face. What about with fillers using your own body fat and platelet rich plasma . I've heard that using these two together strengths and increase the amount of fat that survives, but does fat migrate does PRP migrate . It is from your own body so why would it . What is the 5-10 year appearance underneath it all for these procedures?
I am interested in getting a fat transfer to my face, but keep hearing about fat lumps migration etc. for facial fat transfer what percentage of people have a problem after having the procedure is it big risk/low risk etc thanks
Hello, I struggled with these folds all my life and I think its genetic. Ive had them since I can remember but became more aware of them since I was 18 (23 now). In Good lightning one cant see anything, but in dim light creating shadows on my face you can see deep folds around my mouth area and on my upper cheeks. I feel like they are making me look tired and old. What can I do? Are filler my only option? Im scared of filler migration and am not sure where it should be injected.
Hi. I am in my early 20's, and interested in having fat transferred to my forehead and cheeks to create a fuller face. However, I heard that injected fat in those areas will migrate downward overtime? Is that true? And why or why not? Thanks!
10 days out from fat transfer. I had fat done to the back of the jaw behind jowls. Because of the swelling one side looked bigger than the other and I pressed on it but not very hard. Now I worry if what I done could move the fat to my jowl since its so close to that area. Sometimes I accidentally sleep on my side and immediately jerk awake. Can't relax. Emailed my doctor and he said it is unlikely for fat to migrate although he can't be sure. What is your opinion?
20s, I want volume to forehead and cheeks since it's so flat but i hear about patients where the fat migrates from forehead and down to the eyes causing puffy eyes and fat on cheeks which moved to jawline causing sagging. Why is it happening? Why does it take irregularly and lead to asymmetry? This is worrisome and makes me want to try fillers instead
