2 years post-op. Can a fat graft shift or distort with enough pressure?

My last fat transfer was 2 yrs ago. My dermatologist does extractions after I have a peel, a large amount of pressure is put on my face and I'm worried I've done damage to the fat or it has moved.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is unlikely that your dermatologist would have put so much pressure to have caused fat necrosis. So it is probably not damaged and in two years it would have set and so should not be able to move.

Think of grafted that two years after the treatment as normal fat in your body.  The simple answer is no. If enough pressure was put to cause fat necrosis then you should be bruised. Possibly have skin damage. It's hard to imagine a physician applying The pressure needed to crush live fat in your body.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
