3 months ago I had a blepharoplasty & have been receiving 5-fu injections to reduce scar tissue every other week. Its been about 3 weeks since my last 5-fu injection, but still the injection site is surrounded with dry, red, darkened skin. Should this discoloration fade with time? Could the darkness be permanent? I am concerned since it has been 3 weeks since last injection. I am Fitzpatrick skin type 1, if that matters. Thank you so much for your time & consideration.
Can anyone tell me if this is a dog ear or hypertrophic scar? This is after upper eyelid surgery revision where the surgeon had to remove skin as I had a raised lump that didnt go down but seems the raised skin is still there? Its worse when I smile as the skin folds when I smile. What is the treatment for this as Ive already had revision surgery and it looks even worse.
First surgery in Jan 2022 - midface lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty with canthoplexy and muscle suspension. Revision surgery in August 2023 - lower blepharoplasty to correct herniated fat that wasn't there prior to surgeries. Removal of herniated fat, septal reset, cantoplexy and muscle suspension. Can anyone give me advice as to what is causing this.
I acquired Ptosis in my left eye after an upper blepharoplasty. That surgeon hypothesized that blepharoplasty 5years prior damaged levator muscle but scar tissue held it in place following years until her blepharoplasty. The previous blepharoplasty excised only minimal amount of skin, no contact with levator muscle. No visual or sensorial indication of ptosis ever before 2nd blepharoplasty. Could ptosis or levator muscle injury occur previously without indication until after 2nd blepharoplasty?
I am now almost 6 weeks out from upper and lower Blepharoplasty. Scar tissue has formed under my lower right eyelid and I have been doing the massages for 2 weeks. My Dr. has given me the option of injecting steroids to dissolve this unsightly bulge. Has anyone had this done and what were your results?
I had an upper blepharoplasty eleven months ago. No complications, normal healing. The only thing that bothers me is that I still have slightly thickened bumps on the outer corners of my eyelids at the ends of the incisions. Will this eventually disappear, or is further surgery required to remove that scar tissue?
I had a blepharoplasty in December and the doctor made 2 incisions. One on the eyelid and the other one just below my eyebrow. This second incision has a strange bump at the end, which makes me look like a strange creature, not human. I have been to my doctor who minimizes this and says that he could cut me open to look what it is. But I don't want another surgery if it's not needed. I have been to another doctor who says it's simply scar tissue and I have to wait.
Hi - Good day. I am so worried and embarrassed of my lower eyelids after having surgery, hoping will build my confidence. My scars are visible and seem the tissue under has rise. What can I do to resolve??
