I am now almost 6 weeks out from upper and lower Blepharoplasty. Scar tissue has formed under my lower right eyelid and I have been doing the massages for 2 weeks. My Dr. has given me the option of injecting steroids to dissolve this unsightly bulge. Has anyone had this done and what were your results?
I am desperate to know what to do. Seven weeks ago, I had a bilateral upper blepharoplasty. The plastic surgeon cut not only my eyelids but right out onto my face by more than a centimetre, above the corner of my eye, extending diagonally towards my brow. This has left me with two ugly thick scar lines which make me look like a clown. The edges of the cut are not joined tightly, particularly on the right side of my face, and I have a thick open ridge which is so ugly. I feel like a freak. I don't know what to ask for or what can be done to improve this.
Does it look like I have a hyertrophic scar from a professional standpoint? What can I do to reduce the scar tissue that's so visible? I have an EXTREMELY BAD REACTION to steroids, even topical! What alternatives are there for SAFELY reducing scars on the eyelid? Is it PROBABLE that the scar will flatten in time or does it look like I have a permanent bad result? I'm seeing my surgeon AGAIN tomorrow, but to date he's had no explanation or answers for why I've had this reaction/problem!
I am six weeks post upper bleph procedure. I am concerned that the incision/scar placement is far too high. The nurse told me this will resolve over time and settle in to my natural crease...? At the time of marking for the procedure the Doctor assured me that the scar would be in my natural crease.
I am a 60-year-old male and had a lower eyelid surgery six weeks ago. As you can see in the picture, I still have wrinkles below the eyes. I am wondering what procedure would best treat these wrinkles after I have healed from the prior surgery (I'm assuming the wrinkles won't improve over the next four months).
I am 6 weeks post blathoplasty but my scars are still itchy , tight, lumpy and slightly painful. left eye especially, as it does not close fully. Can I do anything to speed up the healing process, use any scar creams, topical steroids etc? Been only using Vaseline so far and had a course of antibiotics earlier on. Please help.
I am 5 week post blethroplasty surgery. My left eye was more swollen. When obvious swelling went, Im left with a double fold at the crease and a not as neat looking scar as the other side. Wk 3 started massage on area which does feel like its helping bumps, but its not improving how the fold looks. I have a follow up appointment in 2 week but would really appreciate some feedback just now on if this type of fold is normal at this stage and should resolve, or if It is likely to stay like this?
Its been 6 weeks since my lower eyelid surgery and have finally recovered from some serious chemosis. My eyes however are no longer almond shape and now look rounded and almost sad looking. Do you think its still early in the healing process or am I now stuck with round sad looking eyes
