I had upper blephoraplasty 1 week and 2 days ago. I know it is very early to worry about scarring, however I do have a concern. On the outer portion of my eye a small portion of the scar is blacking or very blackish red. I am afraid this pigmentation may stay. What should I do to reduce the pigmentation? Will this dark pigmentation get better in time? What kind of products should I use to make sure the pigmentation does not stay this color?
I’m 7 days past my upper bleph op and as you can see the incisions are app. 5 mm above the crease line. Hence the scars are fully visible with my eyes open. I thought the scars would be hidden in the natural crease line. What can be done?
I had considerable hooding so had both an upper Blepharoplasty and a Lateral Browlift a week ago. I expected the bleph scar to be hidden in the eyelid crease, but the suture line, beginning about 2/3 of the way across the eye, departs from the crease and extends outward an inch or more from the eye. Is this normal and how can I minimize?
I had upper eyelid surgery to treat my hooded eyes 10 days ago. During the consultation I was told that the incision would only be in the crease of my eyelid and to the end of my eye. After surgery I was shocked to find that the lenght of the incision was much longer than the surgeon originally advised. Is this normal for it to be this long and will this type of scar disappear? Is there anything I can do to speed up the healing process? Thank you
I had an upper bleph 7 days ago. The stitches were removed today, day 7. I have vertical lines on the outer aspect of each eye, some are red and slightly indented and some are scabs. Will this cause train track like scars? Photos are blurry as its hard to get a clear closeup using my outdated phone.
i had one on my right upper eye lid, it has been a week. I've undergone three I&C for chalazion for my left eye so I know how it works, but this time, I don't want to have another one if it will be gone on its own. I have chalazion in my upper eye lid. I just treat it warm compress and hopes it will be gone on its own since i do not want to undergo another I&C. I also have dry eyes, will using artificial tears have an effect on my chalazion now? Do you think it's okay to use it while i have chalazion?
I had a transconjunctival blepharoplasty done 9 days ago and I am worried about the redness under my eyes; I also have a small blister under each eye. The doctor had told me about the redness but spoke about it as if it would clear in one week. I feel I look worse than before the blepharoplasty. How long will this redness last? How should it look in another week? Month? Anything I can do about t. I feel extremely self conscious and am regretting this procedure. Thank you for any input.
I developed a chalazion in my lower left eyelid around 8 months ago. I was finally able to undergo a procedure to drain it a week ago. Since that's the case, why is my eyelid still the same size as it was before the procedure? The difference in size is clearly visible when I smile. Note: The red spot on the eyelid is a scar that was left over from a stye.
I had upper & lower bleph one week ago. I had a blue suture sticking out of both sides of my top incision. I trimmed the suture. The doc was able to remove the blue suture on my left eye, but the one on the right seems to be missing. He tried to get it, to no avail. How worried should I be? The right eye is more swollen than the left - is this the reason? I am already worried about the outcome of my surgery, and Im a pretty high strung person - this lost suture will drive me mad. Help!
