I am hoping you could provide me with a number of options regarding my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. My skin is dark brown (Indian) and after electrolysis (the blend method), I got these dark brown post inflammatory hyperpigmentation spots. I really hate them and it makes me sad to look at them. Is there anything I can do to remove or fade them? My electrologist has said they might never fade. The PIH spots have been on my skin for 3+ months. I use sunscreen daily.
Ive had pseudofolliculitis barbae and ingrown hairs for over a year now. I am using: topical antibiotics (clindamycin phosphate) for over four months, oral doxycycline (anti-inflammatory) for two months, 0.05% topical tretinoin and steroid injections. Ive stopped waxing the area (which caused this problem) and regularly exfoliate. Laser is not an option because Im a redhead. Is electrolysis hair removal the only possible treatment? Would Accutane help clear the area? Thank you.
An electrologist removed a large part of my brows without my permission. It's been 10 months since then and I've had sparse regrowth and continuing bald areas using Retin-A on the area nightly to try to stimulate hair growth. Doctors here say Latisse only works on undamaged follicles. Do eyebrows contain dormant follicles that have never produced hair on me but could be woken up with something like Latisse? Or should I use Rogaine first to stimulate follicles and then Latisse?
I had around 8 laser hair removal treatments done and there are patches of hair on my jawline, chin, upper lip and neck area. I stopped laser as I don't see any improvement. Will electrolysis fix that or I will just be wasting my money?
I had an electrolysis 7 months ago, and I'm left with pitting after treatment. Now my skin is back to normal color, but it is still pitted. I don't know what to do to make this go away! I want to get rid of the indentations permanently...is there any possibility that it will resolve on its own? If not, what can I do to remove those indentations?
I am left with scars around my nose after red vein electrolysis treatment three weeks ago. One scar is quite deep and sunken, and is painful to touch. I have started to use Contractubex gel on the scars but haven't noticed any improvements after 10 days of use. Will these scars improve?
The areas for treatment in no way overlap. The electrolysis appointment has been booked for months and I can't change it without having to wait months for another. I'm hoping to have the Botox the following day as it's the only available appointment which would allow enough time for it to take effect before a social engagement I have ten days later. Is this a bad idea? I'm assuming it will be okay as the treatments are in different areas.
I had a hair transplant 9 months ago and Im not happy with it at all. My hair has continued to thin and it looks terrible. I want to shave my hair and get smp but after shaving my hair before my first session I noticed lots of tiny bumps at the base of the each hair follicle. I think I want to get electrolysis to remove the hairs, but will this also help with the bumps? And if not what can I do to get rid of them Thanks
