I was recommended to have incisionless otoplasty by one surgeon and recommended to have incision otoplasty by another surgeon. I am unsure of which procedure is best for my ears. My fear is that the incisionless otoplasty will not give me a desirable permanent look.
I had nasal valve surgery with a graft taken from my left ear. The ear collapsed after the surgery, and now lays flat against my head. Additionally, I can no longer sleep on my left side, because the outer rim cartilage is breaking down. It might need to be trimmed. My original surgeon offered to flatten the other ear to match, but I declined because of the outer rim cartilage issue, and I don't like the look. Can the collapsed ear be made symmetric again? Thank you for your response.
I recently went in for a consultation for otoplasty, the surgeon explained that he would be difficult to create the fold since i have a rare deformity. As you can see, my helical rim indents inward at the top. Sorry if im not using the correct terms
hello Dr my daugther is 4 and she had otoplasty done a month ago but the result is not ok i want another opinion from a doctor to see if she can fix the problem but this problem is one ear only i do not trust the doctor that did the first operation anymore please let me know if you can ve of help one ear the fold is like telephone deformity and the other one seem to be ok in the surgery concha was removed so I dont know if it can be fixed
I have had the earfold procedure, the metal clips are very visible which is a shame because I love the shape of my ears now, if I have them removed will they go back to protruding or will they look different altogether? Also is it unhealthy in anyway to your body to have the metal clips in your ear?
I had the earfold procedure four days ago, to which the treatment was great. However my concha bowl is swollen, which I understand, because that's where the ear fold is placed..however, both my ears are bent to far back at the top...giving a elf look...is this normal for this early stage, and will they balance out over time..thank you
