I had blepharoplasty and epicanthoplasty done over 4 months ago. I've noticed that for the past 2.5 months, sometimes(1-2times a day) my left eye would tear up constantly for 30 minutes up to an hour while my right eye will be extremely dry during that same time to the point where eye drops, eye gels, eye lubricant won't help. I really don't think it's due to any environmental allergies. Is this a side effect from my eyelid surgery?
I had revision blepharoplasty done on dec 14, 2016. Its been 4 months and I am worried about the persistent swelling. I look sleepy all the time because my eyes look half closed. I can't take photos from a lower or straight angle, I have to look up in photos to look normal. My scars are quite visible. And when i look up, my lids feel heavy and feels like pulling. can't go out without makeup. always have to wear thick eyeliner and fake eyelashes to hide my swelling to some extent. WHAT IS WTONG?
Surgery was October 2015, sutures removed 2weeks post-op. Then, after daily massages, 2 sutures in the left fold surfaced as the swelling went down. I had these removed a week later. Since then, I still feel a bump on the left eyelid but thought it was scar tissue. 2-16-16 one suture that was supposedly removed surfaced again...and I can pull it with fine tweezers. Its still knotted. They say its normal, permanent to heal the folds nicely but come if I want it removed.
I had double eyelid surgery for the first time 4 months ago. I have the feeling my right eye has lost its fold. Since it's my first time having the surgery, I'm not sure what changes may take place during the healing process. If it is the case that my right eye has unfolded, what are my options for revision now? And how soon can I get it fixed?
I had both upper & lower blepharoplasty 4 months ago. Please tell me if I should have reconstructive surgery for the wrinkled skin texture at outer edge and big wrinkle at inner edge of my eyes. There is also a piece of skin at both outer edges (see pix) that pulls when opening my eyes. Should this be fixed? My eyes are so different in shape which is what I wanted fixed with this surgery. Is that too much to expect? I was also told that the skin area under my eyes will always be slightly swollen?
I had epicanthoplasty four months ago. Now the inner corners of my eyes have scar formation and feel tight, especially when I attempt to raise my eyebrows. Is this permanent or will my eyelids return to its normal softness? Also, my surgeon removed too much skin on the corner of my right eye, exposing the entire tear duct, and my lower eyelid is slightly detached from my eyeball. Sometimes I feel there's wind in my eye. Can surgery be performed to correct this and re-cover part of the tear duct?
