Hi, almost 15 years ago I had a root canal done on a front tooth. Now according to the X-ray, there is no infection but the tooth got grey. How big is the chance that it can break with aligner treatment? And is there a way to put a dental crown on 1 tooth? My doctor said it's not possible because this tooth is hollow inside because I had a root canal done. The tooth looks fine from the outside, and there is no decay. Is the only option an implant?? :(
I had a root canal down and my tooth in front and they put the crown on and its like, gappy and I feel like its too crooked I really thought it would be straighter after having this done. I feel like it still looks just as bad as before. Gapped and slightly discolored. I absolutely hate it. Can this be fixed? Or how would it even be fixed?
Today I went to my dentist to replace crown that he did a month ago. There was too much of metal margain sticking out so hes replacing it with one that has porcelain margain at the front.Today when I had my old own crown taken out I realized that my tooth (thats still alive) has darkened out significantly. Does the discoloration means that theres something wrong with a tooth?Should I be worried (Sorry for grammar mistakes English is my 4th language).
I am having crowns placed and 2 weeks ago they placed the temporary ones. After 2 days they started turning black. They replaced the temporary crowns today after polishing and using bleaching trays to remove it. What is the cause of this and how can I prevent it from happening again and will this affect the placement of the permanent ones in one week?
Hi had a PFM crown put in for molar. dentist said best to use a PFM as it is slightly stronger but in time, I MAY get a grey line around the gum line as the gum recedes. However as soon as he put it in I saw a very clear grey line and obviously that is not due to receding gum. He says it is not the metal showing but rather the color difference between my tooth and the crown. But the crown actually matches it very well. So is it because he didnt push It far up in enough
I got a crown done about 2 years ago because I've had bonding done to a chipped tooth. I didn't need the crown because the chip was only about 25% of my tooth if that. The chip was small idk why I wanted a permanent fix well I guess because I didn't want to have to continually deal with bonding but I should've waited til I was a little older being that I'm only 28. The bonding was just like 9 years old when i noticed the discoloration but the crown is worse. Any suggestions?
Im looking to get a crown on one of my anterior teeth due to substantial discoloration after a root canal treatment. I would love to have a porcelain crown such as E.max or Empress. However, Im worried that the natural dark color of the tooth underneath a crown will distort the overall color of my crown after a placement. It has happened to one of my posterior teeth before. Im worried that it would happen to my anterior tooth as well. Which crown is best for teeth with grayish discoloration?
My tooth chipped 3 years ago and ended up getting a porclein crown. I kept having to go back over 5 times because ever time the permanent crown was placed in my teeth it was always a different color than my other teeth. It was very frustrating having to go back because the color wasn't right. Now it chip last year and I had to get it done again! Now I'm still bleeding from only that gum , where the porclein crown was placed and it's still the wrong color. It's noticeable when I smile.
Today my dentist placed a crown in my tooth # 19, when I got home I noticed that the bottom of my crown has a black underline all around, and the color of the outside part of the crown is white and yellow, it looks sick and very ugly. I am pregnant in my 24 weeks and I am feeling very sensitive, I can't stop crying because I am not satisfied, every time I take a look of my tooth it makes me feel miserable. Is there anything that it can be done to fix this?
