This concerns my front four upper teeth. One dentist said he would only do a root canal and cap on each tooth. Would simply bonding the front and back of each tooth strengthen the tooth sufficiently ? How long could this last? Is there something stronger than composite like epoxy? PS After your reply I can send photos and xrays
I started having my upper teeth fixed prior to a fatal car wreck my daughter was involved in, & acquired a severe diffuse, axonal TBI. I care for her at home, and money is very tight. My lower teeth were in perfect condition at this time. Now the top of the bottom teeth are separating and u can see the yellow. Can this be bonded until I can afford crowns or veneers? An enormous amount of money was spent on veneers, crowns, root canals, etc. on my upper teeth, but the work wasn't finished. HELP!!
Resin bonding -Doctor did not tell me much -two teeth on bottom row right below buck teeth -broken teeth due to a construction accident (though there was no blood, pain or sensitivity until after the bonding -Will the sensitivity subside? -is a root canal necessary? -it has only been a day since my treatment - I'd like to note that the doctor cleaned my teeth before this procedure, whereas they were not clean before.
I'm 22. At 13, I had root canal on right front tooth after infection (tooth had been previously damaged from an accident so had prior reconstruction). Because my teeth weren't straight, that tooth was rebuilt shorter to look even. Now that my teeth are straightened, that tooth looks shorter. Also, the tooth is darker than the others since the treatment. I've been given several options: Internal bleaching and bonding; veneer; or crown (porcelain-metal composite). Which option is favourable?
When i was around 10-11 yrs old I fell & chipped my front central incisor (bottom part) , over the years i had bondings done. The top portion of my tooth which is my real tooth is becoming yellow and darker compared to my other teeth and now is darker than the bonding I have on it now.i had a pulp test and I felt it , so the pulp is not dead, the tooth is sensitive sometimes. Should I be getting a root canal ? If the pulp is still alive what is causing the discoloration ? How can I fix this?
I had a peg tooth located in the top front of my mouth. A few years ago, My dentist bonded the peg to make it fuller. About ten months ago I got a root canal done on this tooth. The back of it was filled in after the procedure. The past week, the tooth has been feeling a little loose. I'm terrified it's going to fall out. What should i do? Is there anything a dentist can do to make sure it doesn't fall out?
Some dentists say bonding 'won't last' or not worth doing for my 1/2 premolar. I'm not concerned with appearance, but how do they shape the top to mimic a real tooth? Would it last less time being large? How long should it last? Bonding buys time to see if root canal treatment needed. I don't see logic in RCT on a problem-free tooth. Seems better to do RCT 1st time in a few years if infected, rather than redo RCT in a few years. RCT doesn't last forever. Do you suggest RCT before bonding?
