I had my braces off the other day and Im still unhappy with my smile. They are very straight, however, I hate how my back teeth disappear and I can only see a few teeth when I smile. Id love to have a wider smile or a full set. My dentist said this wasnt achieveable with braces as there wasnt enough room in my mouth. What my options? Composite bonding, partial dentures or anything else? I would still be required to wear retainers due to having braces.
I started braces in August 2021 and was advised my treatment would be 16 months. I am almost to the 16 month mark (January 2023) and although my alignment is nice and my teeth are much straighter, i do not like the spaces between my teeth and would like to fix them. My Orthodontist stated that the Black triangles are normal but is there anything she can do to close them? She has done several IPR treatments already. Someone recommended Dental Bonding. How much is the cost for that?
I got my braces off over 3 years ago but over time a very tiny gap has appeared in between my two middle teeth. I would love to close that gap and also if possible maybe file down my 2 front teeth as I feel as though they look very odd as theyre so large compared to my other teeth. Although when the gap is closed it may look normal. I have a fixed permanent retainer on the back of my teeth and wondered if I got bonding done would that have to be taken off and put back on or could it stay off?
My right canine is much higher than my other teeth and Im pretty self conscious about it. Ive had both braces and Invisalign to try to bring it down, but they havent worked. Would bonding to make it look longer work?
So Im nearing the end of my Invisalign treatment and my orthodontist notes that my front teeth were uneven and hed like to shave a little to even it out. I said sure as we discussed just a little bit. He then did all 6 front teeth and I now feel like they are too short and I enjoyed my full teeth better even with their imperfections. He said I would have to seek a dentist for bonding or veneers to restore the fullness of the teeth prior to shaving. What do you think is the best option?
I've had braces for two years and I got my braces taken off about a year ago. I have a permanent wire at the back of my front teeth and I have noticed a small black triangle between my two front teeth and the gums. How can I fix this? I think it may have been caused by flossing and brushing.
I want to get cosmetic bonding between my left & right canines.i have these weird groves(pics below) which are the natural shape of my teeth.bc of the natural shape braces alone won't close those two spaces. How does bonding after braces typically work? Will I have time to whiten my teeth before bonding (I don't want the spaces to open again if I wait to long) do I go as soon as I take my braces off? Will I have to get a new retianer after bonding? PlZ someone explain everything I should know
I had my Rx done for overbite correction. Now I have gaps in my upper front.since my laterals are skinny so my dentist says a bonding is not good option since; 1. It will not hold good, 2.will widen the teeth ridiculously and still there will be a window remaining near gum line that will look really bad. 3. It will break in 3 months. I know that veneers are the best option but I can't afford it 1300$x4= 4200$. Plz suggest me if its gonna be that bad Or should I go see another dentist.
I retract my jaw to chew and sometimes during speech to get my molars to make contact. Ive had braces and was urged to have jaw advancement surgery. I never did because at rest front teeth make contact, professionals always analyzed my bite with my lower jaw pulled back and molars making contact. This position gives an extreme overbite. I don't think cutting my jaw bone & moving it forward alone will make the molars touch. I'm wondering if building up the molars via bonding would improve my bite
I'm 32. Since getting my braces off as a teen my teeth have shifted & also worn down over time (grinding, etc). My dentist bonded several of my teeth to provide some of the length I used on have but now one has come off. This also happened when I had another dentist bond a small chip several years ago - it only lasted a short time. I believe the recent event occurred last nt when I was eating sth hard (a chocolate bar &it was cold).Lastly is this sth most dentists will replace free of charge? TY
