Dental bonding (composite) for 2-3mm gap? Is it a good option? (photo)

I had my Rx done for overbite correction. Now I have gaps in my upper front.since my laterals are skinny so my dentist says a bonding is not good option since; 1. It will not hold good, 2.will widen the teeth ridiculously and still there will be a window remaining near gum line that will look really bad. 3. It will break in 3 months. I know that veneers are the best option but I can't afford it 1300$x4= 4200$. Plz suggest me if its gonna be that bad Or should I go see another dentist.
