I have Type III - Type IV skin with discoloration and darkening on my knees and elbows, inner thighs, and around the anus. It's been a problem my entire adult life. Which laser(s) will help even out and brighten my skin in those areas? Will CO2/Erbium or radiofrequency with microneedling work? I've tried chemical peels and have not noticed a difference.
My skin has a constant dullness to it. It is always dry no matter how much water I drink and skincare I use. Cheap or expensive skincare, nothing helps. Ive tried slugging at night and it seems to only congested my skin. I have scarring on my cheeks and forehead both. Ive had several sessions of Moxie, several micro needling, and several diamondglow facials. All of this has helped, but my skin is not what I wish it to be. I have a lot of discoloration and very uneven texture.
I had a breast lift 7yrs ago & am unhappy with these scars: anchor-shaped, discolored, textured,& could use improvement (esp in crease). I'm determined to improve the scars. Some doctors have recommended surgical scar revision, but I'd rather not excise the scars & risk having them heal in the same undesired manner. Could doctors please recommend alternate mthds for treating 7 yr-old breast lift scars? C02 laser, steroid injection? As well as your opinion about how much improvement is possible?
Unfortunately, I made a mistake and allowed a Dr to damage me There were several scar issues 1 was an indented scar I am going to get treated with filler and/ possibly subcision/ prp with a different Dr of course -Unfortunately Dr Carniol co2 lasered something we never discussed instead of what we did ( ie the reddish area below that ) and made a barely visible scar into a very visible hypopigmented area Is there anything I can do to fix what he did to me ? No co2 lasers please
I am 34 year old man. I am looking to get full laser C02 resurfacing on my face for *moderate* acne scaring, light wrinkles, discoloration, and overall rejuvenation. I want the absolute strongest, most effective, gold standard laser treatment on the market and downtime is of no concern as I get laid off in the winter. The problem I am having is the differences in Doctors, the technology offered, and their opinions about treatment. It's so bad I literally have *TWO* resurfacings scheduled next month
I got C02 fractional laser resurfacing on my arms and legs in hope to minimize the scars I have there. It has been two months and all the spots where the scars were look red or brown and there are patches of brown (shaped like a rectangle) and it doesn't seem to be getting any better! Please let me know what to do/help
i had co2 ebrium laser two years ago for treatment of old stretch marks. After initial treatment i had a lot of dark brown spots on the back of my legs and the buttock area. 19 months in of using obagi and tretonoin i still have discolouration. The spots have got lighter but are still there. On my left leg i have a big patch of reddish/white blotches, looks like 'cornbeef skin', and have dark red patches that have seemed to taken up home in the tracks of my stretch marks on my right.
I had my procedure on 9/14/16. I still have the discoloration from the procedure and also my skin is like sandpaper and I have more wrinkles especially around my knees, actually creases now! How long before they go back to normal, even if this procedure does not work, will the skin on my legs at least go back to the way they were: no discoloration and way less dryness and wrinkled skin??? That's all I'm hoping for at this point. (I am a caucasion female 56 years old.) Thank you
I am an african american female with discoloration in different areas of my body. I recently had CO2 Fraxel laser resurfacing of the face to help with discolorations due to acne scars and sun damage. I absolutely love the results and was wondering if the laser could be used in other areas of the body to treat discolorations. I am particularly interested in treating my buttocks and thighs. If not, what are some alternative treatments to even my skin tone without using bleaching creams?
