Can laser therapy be used to treat discolorations on buttocks and thighs?

I am an african american female with discoloration in different areas of my body. I recently had CO2 Fraxel laser resurfacing of the face to help with discolorations due to acne scars and sun damage. I absolutely love the results and was wondering if the laser could be used in other areas of the body to treat discolorations. I am particularly interested in treating my buttocks and thighs. If not, what are some alternative treatments to even my skin tone without using bleaching creams?

I typically avoid co2 resurfacing on the body unless needed, especially for pigmentation. this is where clear + brilliant, fraxel, VIVA or peels do much better.  Dr. Emer.
