I had a chin implant placed in the mouth about a year ago, and its caused my lower lip to be crooked slightly to the right accompanied by slight numbness or a stiff feeling on the same lower right side. Left is completely fine. I can force my muscles to have it appear normal, but when im completed relaxed it is noticeable. Will removing or replacing it fix the problem?
My first implant (late 20, insert from inside the mouth) has lots of problem, asymmetrical, one wing create a ledge, too long... Overall, I hate it. After talking with the surgeon about the problem, he decided that it's too complicated to work with me and offer a refund if I remove the implant. It's ideal to remove and replace the implant in one procedure, but if I want the refund, how long after removal can I re-implant? It's risky and bad the perform the procedure separately?
2 years ago I underwent a revision procedure to remove my chin implant due to an increase in the squaring of its contours. The protruding wings of the new implant have rendered my facial profile excessively broad, resulting in a widening of my lower face. I am looking for the experienced practitioner who specialize in implant replacements. Is it possible to excise only the wings of the implant without necessitating a complete removal? Also any qualified surgeons in Europe ? thank you
I had two failed chin implant surgeries. Now I need a third surgery because of dislocation and twistinhg of the imolant wings. Currently I have very little forward projection and mostly downward projection since the implant is pointing down. Photo with headset is with implant For the next surgery my question is: can I use Anatomical chin, 10 mm, from Implantech? Its Not as wide as Extended AC. Is a less wide implant also ok for men, or only for women? I do have narrow face. Is it ok?
In 2010, I underwent successful chin implant surgery with a silicone implant. In July 2024 at 48, I underwent chin implant exchange surgery to achieve slightly more anterior projection and to give my chin a pointy shape. The surgeon replaced the silicone with medpor. 7 weeks on, following an infection, I had the implant removed. The surgeon says I may now NEVER have a chin implant again. I don't know why and would like a second opinion. Silicone would be my choice, like 2010 to 2024.
Hi! I had a revision chin implant 6 years after my first one which was too high. This time, a wing on the left side of the implant is dropping down just below my jaw. There is not visible issue, but I just want to know if its necessary to fix it? I dont want to go back under for this, but I also dont want issues later down the line. Ive drawn a red line to indicate where the implant wing dips to and a blue line to indicate my jaw line.
Had a moderate size chin implant placed 2018. Would like a more projected chin and wider chin to better balance my nose. Spoke to my original PS who was not enthusiastic and felt it best to leave well enough alone. Thought on a redo to better balance my nose? Are fillers an option? Thanks!
Hi doctors, can you please take a look on my front facial profile for my chin implant. Im so worried. I dont like how Im looking. I flew to turkey 2 weeks ago to get both a rhinoplasty and chin implant as well as buccal removal. I asked the surgeon that I wanted to balance out my face and slim a bit. The surgeon agreed and this was my result a week after. Also I forgot to mention I have braces and have has them for 1year.
I am looking to revise my facial implants due to past infections resulting in me losing some of them. ive been told next time i will be put on vancomycin for a long period post surgery. id like to know if this is commonly used and does it work in preventing infection? also how important is the use of mouth wash after facial implants? and how soon should oral hygeine start after surgery? can the lack of mouthwash cause infection too?
