My checks are so swollen, very painful and are hard as rocks. It's difficult to open my mouth to eat. How long can I except for recovery. I was told it was a very simple procedure and would have very little down time. Thank you!
This fat appeared 6 months ago I have constant pain on my face it is from the corners of my mouth to my ears my face feels extremely heavy. Everything is being pulled down. I had my buccal fat pad removed on 12/Apr/19 along with Kybella resulting, I have excessive swelling and am not able to open my mouth. I was instructed by my surgeon to have 5 sessions of ultrasound therapy to aid with the discomfort along with antibiotics and pain killers. I am using all of the surgeons directions, however, it hurts to chew, use mouthwash, brush my teeth, drink water (the most basic mouth related activities). I feel as if I am being stabbed repeatedly on the inside of my mouth.

It's my 1st day post buccal fat removal and 2nd post hair transplant. My whole head feels like it weighs too much for my body and my face has completely ballooned and my ears are poking out like antenni.. I look like Stewie from Family Guy! I'm not in much pain, just slighly uncomfortable when trying to sleep as the diner area on the back of my head is still quite raw. I've know there's supposed to be minor swelling after each procedure but didn't expect it to be this bad.
I got my buccal fat done on january 12th and still to this date there are still hard lumps on the incision site to the right. It's not massively painful but when i press on it, it's just obvious it hasn't healed yet like a very minor pain you get when a wound is healing. Why's it taking so long to heal up? My other side there is still the lump at the incision but I can still tell a difference from before whereas right side it's just not healing up to well
The buccal fat pad on my left cheek was a little stubborn to find at first but besides that the procedure went well. The Dr stated that my left cheek would swell up more than the right because of that. After the fifth day I started to notice a tight pressure like feeling on my left cheek. Dr said it was normal for the lump to occur and that I may have Hematoma but that I didnt need to get it drained. Its been 9 days now and the lump is still the same size but now instead of sticking out of my cheek, it is poking in words into my teeth and gums. Its still tender and now Im starting to feel a slight pain on my jaw line close to my tonsils. Im a little worried. Should I let it heal on its own or should I go to the E.R?
