I had buccal fat removal done several years ago which left me with scars, dents, and asymmetry. The surgeon did an incisions on the outer side of my face which left me with scars and dents.Incision points are also not symmetrical (on the right side did he actually took fat from lower part of upper cheek since that side is more hollow and incision position more above?)What can I do about it? I heard fat grafting is not a permanent solution
My face gains weight asymmetrically, with the right cheek noticeably much fuller. I already signed up for a buccal fat removal surgery, but I chose the cheapest doctor, and he couldn't remove the fat. He said he would try again. I would like to try with another doctor, but Im afraid the buccal fat may not be removable. Is there a case where the buccal fat pad cannot be removed? In addition to the buccal fat removal, I am considering genioplasty to help improve the harmony of my face.
Hi. I am 35 y.o. and in December 2020 I had buccal fat removal. For esthetic purposes but also because I was constantly bitting my cheeks. At first everything was fine, but about 5 months ago one of the sides became much more hollow, and almost seems to have a hole in it. I don't know how common this. My doc's suggestion is to remove parte of the left fat on the side that is ok. Is this a good solution? Isn't it possible it will remain asymmetrical? Also, if I loose weight will this be worsened?
I have this asymmetrical face where i have wider jaw and more fat on left side whereas right side is thinner and looks ok but my left face side and cheekbone is so Bigger and make me looks so asymmetrical and fat and i also have teeth that are more pushed forward on left side can it be fixed with braces or buccal fat removal and what's the cause
If you look at my picture, my cheek on the left looks normal, whereas the cheek on my right has more fat/chub. When I pinch them, I also notice it as my right cheek is thicker. It's hard to see in the picture, but my left jawline is nice and defined, whereas my right jaw transitions to my neck with less definition. I actually grew the beard as a way to conceal this asymmetry. If you had a patient come in wanting to fix these, what would you recommend?
I regret my buccal fat removal and wonder what kind of procedure would make me look like before the OP? I think I look older and more unsymmetrical. The photo is 6 months apart. Thank you!
Hello! I had a sever asymmetry on my right side so my dr suggest removing a portion of my buccal fat just on the right side I am 8 months post opt and I hate it my right side looks so gaunt and drawn in compared to my left. I am particularly concerned with the upper side of my face as opposed to the lower end and was wondering if its possible to remove some buccal fat from my left and put it in my right side maybe a little higher up where Im mostly concerned about? Will it stay in position?
