I'm a 54 year old female (menopausal) & I have some sagging skin & small jowls. My face has always been chubby & never lessened as I aged. I was convinced buccal fat removal wld help me to get a slimmer, contoured face & improve jowls, but 2 sep. plastic surgeons I saw both said Im not a good candidate b/c of my sagginess & removal wld make it sag more & my skin wld just hang. Also said to remove it wouldnt have noticable effect in my cheek size. Is this correct?
Im 48 yo, & average weight, & healthy My skin quality is still quite thick, Im not showing wrinkles yet, though have had annual Botox for my 11 lines; though Ive not had any surgical facial procedures. This said, Im not opposed to doing so in the future as its warranted!! I have wide, fairly prominent cheekbones but also a fuller lower face regardless of weight fluctuations, & cheeks seem to be not only retaining their fullness but causing me to look more jowl-y than Id like.
I am in my Late 40s and I would like to know if buccal fat removal will be a good idea or only facelift will solve the falling cheeks ? If facelift is the one to go, smas or deep plane ? I cant quite see how one is more advantageous than the other !
