I had a breast reduction almost 2 years ago. I have very little sensation on my nipples and the bottom of my breasts are completely numb. I have noticed some improvement in nipples after one year is this a good sign it will continue to improve further? I beget terrible itching t left breast but due to the numbness I cant pinpoint where its coming from to get relief. Is this a sign of damage or nerve regeneration?
I had my breast surgery in 2018 and my surgeon had to correct something months later. In the first surgery he did reconstruct the breasts. The second, he cut and repositioned the nipples only. I lost all sensation. Not only that but he STILL left the nipples too high and to close to the center of my body. I haven't felt comfortable since and I wanted to know if it's safe/a good idea to go to a different surgeon to reposition my nipples and possibly repair nerves to regain sensation.
I had a breast lift/ reduction to fix uneven breasts. Its been over a year and I dont have any sensation, the bottom half of both breasts are numb and nipples are too. However, I do still have sensation in the spots where my nipples used to be. It feels like my nipples are still in their old spots sometimes. I also have what feels like tissue thickening where my nipples used to be. Is that normal or do I need to speak with a doctor about it?
I had a breast reduction at the age of 17. My weight had been fluctuating throughout high school and at the time I got it, I had gained weight and wanted a quick fix. I am now 24, and regret it deeply. I did not think through consequences and risks and have lost nipple sensation (barely feel a flick), and some of my right nipple had necrosis around the edges making it looked almost deformed. Is there anything I can do to fix these issues? Its affecting my confidence and I miss my old boobs.
Hi! I want to get a breast reduction in December. I'm afraid of being unable to breastfeed after and losing sensation. Is it possible for nipples to not be able to become hard afterwards? I know it seems silly but I don't want that to happen! How common is it to be unable to breast feed? I am seeing a board certified surgeon with over 30 years of experience and great reviews.
Hello, I am a little over a year post-op and I have no feeling on the lower half of my breasts. My surgeon did the anchor technique and I am more than satisfied with the results (I went from a 32G to a 32D/C, 61 inches, 120 lbs) I am just wondering if l'Il ever regain feeling on the lower half of my breasts and my nipples. With my nipples I have feeling from time to time but they get erect randomly and I cannot feel when. I am just wondering if the feeling will ever come back.
I am coming up on 3 years since my breast reduction & I still have little to no feeling in my nipples. If I pinch them really hard I can feel them, but they do not feel temperature at all. I can hold an ice cube to them and feel absolutely nothing. They also rarely get stimulated. Is there anything I can do to try to regain feeling?
I am scheduled to have a breast reduction done at the end of May. My doctor told me there are two types of procedures they use, free nipple graft or pedicle method. They need to take a certain number of grams out to get it covered by insurance and my doctor said I would have to do the free nipple graft. The doctor said that I would lose sensation in my nipples with this method. I have read some articles that say there is a chance I would have my sensation back in my nipples.
Hello docs. I am 22 & had my breast reduction surgery almost a year ago. I wanted to stay locally & wanted my procedure done ASAP, but I think I was too rash. My breasts were definitely very, very large, but I have since come to learn that a FNG was not necessary. I am absolutely devastated, like sobbing as I write this. I just want to know what can be done to get back to as normal breasts as possible. I am curious about resensation surgery to fix my sexual nerves & more projection in my nipples
