Hello! I am a 35 year old female with a recent BR (October 2021). I'm wondering if my scars are healing properly. There seems to be thicker lumps and uneven lines. Im not sure if this is normal, and if there's anything I can do to help. I used bio oil at the beginning and now am using a mixture of grapeseed oil, hyaluronic acid, and niacinamide. Thank you!
I had a breast reduction and all was well until around 4 weeks after when my skin started to stretch. Is there a reason this happens, if so is there anything I can do to prevent it? I had this reduction as a corrective surgery because my previous one didnt go to plan, I had a new surgeon with outstanding reviews and expertise in reconstruction. This scar stretching has happened after all 3 surgeries, is it just my skin elasticity? Thank you
Hi, I had my breast reduction recently in France but will move back to USA soon. (Not medical tourism, I am dual citizen). My surgeon said he will prescribe me session with a therapist for massage on the scar / gpl scar treatment. But I will be in the US by then. Is that something common to do after thisprorcedure in USA ? Does it really helps the scars to fade away? If so, what specialist should I see? Thank you
Hello this is my second breast reduction due to them growing back. Doctor promised me a nice European look. I did my research and trusted this doctor whole heartedly. Since day one I told my doctor I did not like my results. My nipples were weird looking, scars all around and then dog ears. A few appointments ago he agreed to fix this and now he is backing out on his word. This whole experience has affected my mental in a negative way. What can I do ?
hi! i had my surgery in july 2020, i was 19 at a time w a bra size of 38DDD, i got an impromptu call to come get the surgery done, the surgeon did not take any before and after photos and also didnt inform me what size she would be reducing them to. After the surgery nothing looked normal as they bottomed out right away, i also saw that i have dog ears and my boobs are way smaller than the proportion of my body, what would be advisable to do? I dont want my boobs any smaller than they are at
I did my surgery in another state. It's not easy to be at close touch with my PS. I need professional advice. 1) are my wounds healing at normal rate because they look black. 2) can I start using silicone sheet? 3) Can I bare it like that (no sheet no steril strips) from now on ? 3) can I apply normal skin lotion on the wound area to make sure it's hydrated? Thanks
I am considering a breast reduction. I have breasts that are FF! I am only 23, 5 ft 2, and I weigh about 135 pounds. I have tried to loose weight, but my breast stay large. I have always been self conscious about the way my body looks and would love to have a reduction, but I don't want the ugly scars. Is there any way to have a reduction without large scars? Another concern is my breasts are slightly starting to sag. If I were to leave them this size could they be lifted without scarring?
I had a breast reduction done Sept 2022 which resulted in hypertrophic/keloid scarring. I had a scar revision surgery April 2024 where they used blue removable stitches. Twice some stitches have been left behind, causing the skin to break or become spider veined and a red mark, my surgeon doesnt know. The surgeon has had to cut out the overgrown stitches (9+ weeks and 14+ weeks). Would it be possible to revise this again since new scars and irritation has formed with the forgotten stitches?
