I have been ill (disabled) for nearly 7 years. I started having symptoms 6 months after silicone implants & am totally disabled due to a mystery illness. In June it will be 10 years and that's their shelf life anyway. I am not dependent on my pacemaker, in fact, I don't use it at all. It's just there for insurance. I have some electrical issues, yet my heart is perfectly healthy. Will a surgeon have an issue agreeing to explant me and remove the capsule as well (using cautery tools)?
I still have bruise-like pain, heaviness and itchiness in my left breast after explant over 4.5 months ago. There is no seroma, hematoma or fluid anymore, the other breast is completely healed and smaller. The lightning-like, shooting, stinging pains never went away, they seem to be getting worse. Also, that nipple does not contract like it used to. It is almost always flat and unresponsive to cold and touch. It is hypersensitive and hurts to touch or press. Anyone know why this is not healing?
Hello I had subfascial breast augmentation performed 8 months ago with Motiva high profile 400cc implants . For many reasons I have decided to explant with total capsulectomy. What could be done to restore the appearance to pre implant state as much as possible? My imf fold was lowered 2cm and also the pockets were medially overdissected by about 0.5cm. 1.Could pocket tightening be performed to restore pre-implant cleavage width? The skin in sthe cleavage is also slightly tented/lifted. 2.Could the imf fold be lifted to were it used to be? Thank you so much for your input.
I am wanting to explant permanently, but I have strattice that was placed to prevent capsular contracture. How does that work? Will they just remove the implants (415cc silicone) or remove the implants and strattice? If they leave the strattice, will it be visible under skin without the implant to support it? I have very very little natural breast tissue. Thank you.
Once the implants are removed, I understand theres typically a period where compression garment is advised. As someone who doesnt wear bras at all, Id like to know how soon after the explant procedure is it okay to go completely braless. Thank you.
Age 50, 55 128lbs I had a 20yr history of breast implants 1st set 2002- 400cc saline 2nd set 2008- -600cc silicone dual plane through IMF I had an enbloc explant with lift May 18, 2022 and not happy with my outcome. My surgeon was worried the original surgeon cut my muscle since I had such a tight cleavage but after surgery he said I didnt need muscle repair.I have given myself a full year in hopes My outcome would get better. Why are my breast deformed?
Im in the process of getting my silicone breast implants removed. Both of them have ruptured o intracapsular and the other is a extrcapsular. Im just going to have them removed and nothing else put in so my question is after I have them explanted should I have a certain test or tests to make sure that all the silicone has been removed?
6 months ago I had 20-yr old large implants removed and a lift. I noticed my skin stretching slightly off of my sternum after getting the original implants but since they have been removed, its obviously much. I am a bit surprised that my surgeon didnt address this recently during the X plant and lift. She did mention things like dermal matrixes, or the only way to fix it would be new implants, but seems reluctant to address it. I need a second opinion but not sure where to start.
Hi I am 51 years old and had my implants 15 years ago. They are Allergan MHP 340 CC. Recently I have experienced swelling in my right breast and some tenderness , especially at the top where it is more swollen (on occasion feels like burning) and my nipples . There are no lumps. This has developed over the last 2 weeks. Does this sound like a rupture or could it be some other reason? I am booked in for a scan through my GP but it is not for another 2 weeks. If I need to have them replaced would it be possible to go slightly smaller without having excess skin or would I require an uplift? Thank you.
