My top front teeth are not aligned they are pushed forward and so are bottom front. Attached xray to know that i can use braces to fix this because I have teeth bone loss..or I can remove those front teeth and get dental implants will it solve the problem.
I went to the dentist and I was told it wasn't gum disease., but she did say I have some bone lost . I was also told it could be trauma from my prior braces wear. My dentist put some Resin between the tooth and suggested I get braces again since the tooth has separated from the other teeth. My tooth is still loose and I don't think putting braces on , will fix that. I'm not confident that my dentist is doing a good job and would like some other opinions.
This tooth also has bone loss. I want to straighten this tooth. Would braces, Invisalign, etc possibly loosen the tooth? My front tooth has moved outward a great deal in the past several years and I would like to have it straightened This tooth also has bone loss. I want to straighten this tooth. Would braces, Invisalign, etc possibly loosen the tooth?
I'm nearing the end of my orthodontic treatment, I had 4 bicuspids removed. In my lower arch, i had 2 wisdom teeth removed (because they were growing in wrong) and 2 bicuspids. Now I have a pretty large gap behind my last molars. My question is, will that bone in that gap slowly erode and affect my jawline or my profile in the future? My ortho is able to keep my profile pretty alright for the time being, but will that change maybe 10 years down the road? Thank you in advance.
I'm borned woth thin gum and bones, per periorthodontist. Orthodontist said braces would increase risk of losing teeth in 5-10 years. Periodontist agreed, but also said braces has long term benefit cuz my teeth will be aligned. No treatment is needed cuz I have healthy gum. Should I get braces or leave my teeth alone? lf I lost all bones and subsequently lost all teeth can I still have some/full implants? I thought implants require bones. What are my options? Thank you.
I was always really good at wearing my retainers but for the past few years i wear them less often, they still fit but are tight. My orthodontist insists that if i just wear them they will go back into place. I have small abfractions and some gum recession, i now wear a night guard but i wonder if wearing my tight retainers could also being causing the problem or making it worst? I want to keep my teeth straight but i don't want any more problems with my teeth and gums.
Hi there, Ive had braces on since 2020 December. I have a overbite. My ortho recommended I get tooth extractions in my upper teeth to treat my overbite. I have been in continous treatment except I moved cities a bit, and treatment stopped for about 6-8 months. I got my extractions in Jan 2023, and have been in treatment since. But I just moved to a new place where I asked to have my treatment continued. They say i have too much bone loss to continue treatment. Is this true?
