I'm borned woth thin gum and bones, per periorthodontist. Orthodontist said braces would increase risk of losing teeth in 5-10 years. Periodontist agreed, but also said braces has long term benefit cuz my teeth will be aligned. No treatment is needed cuz I have healthy gum. Should I get braces or leave my teeth alone? lf I lost all bones and subsequently lost all teeth can I still have some/full implants? I thought implants require bones. What are my options? Thank you.

Hi, thanks for sending your question. Your teeth appear to have overcrowding, which means the teeth are not in their correct position and overlapping. Therefore orthodontics is suggested to help with your situation. you can choose either clear aligners or conventional metal braces. All the best,
Yes, you can get surgery while wearing braces. There may be a few exceptions to this depending on the surgery you are planning to have. Braces are usually on during orthognathic surgery.
